Alexander Benois (May 4, 1870, St. Petersburg - February 9, 1960, Paris)
was probably the most important member of the artistic Benois family. His influence on the modern ballet and stage design has been
extremely creative.
Anna Pavlova (February 12, 1881 - January 23, 1931)
was really the first to make ballet popular in America and her influence is felt to this day.
Her colleagues and her audience considered her a genius.
