The estate of a Mescherskaya princess was partially ruined during the famous Moscow fire in 1812. It remained in a poor condition until general Orlov built a new luxurious mansion in its place. The best people of that time visited this lovely and hospitable house. The historian Karamzin, the poet Zhukovsky, the "Uncle Remus" of Russia Krylov were among the famous visitors, as well as Alexander Pushkin's uncle, Vasily Pushkin. Restaurant "Godunov"

Every evening you can enjoy live folk show and gypsies. Godunov restaurant is located in the center of Moscow in the building which was part of Zakonospassky Monastery built in 1600 during the rule of Boris Godunov.

The Hermitage Restaurant

A beautiful restaurant has opened in the left wing of the General Staff building. It has ten dining rooms; each designed in its own style, and interconnected by a gallery intended for exhibitions of contemporary art. There are live performances of jazz, folk music, and traditional Russian romances in the Music Salon and the Peacock Rooms. The restaurant's Russian and European foods are prepared according to time-honored recipes but served in a modern style. The foods here will satisfy the most demanding gourmet taste. During summer months the restaurant offers air dining in the Palace Square.

Restaurant "St. Petersburg"

This restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful places in the city. It is built along the still waters of the Griboedov canal within a few meters of the magnificent cathedral of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood.
