Summer festivals begin in May, with the International Festival "Musical Spring in
Saint-Petersburg". The festival is dedicated to contemporary academic music of leading
Russian & international composers of the 20th Century.
In June the international festival "Musical Olympus" takes place with The
St. Petersburg Academic Shostakovich Philharmonic Hall & the Hermitage Theatre as
its main stages! This festival is a sort of Gala Parade of the winners of the
most prestigious music competitions of the world.
The international chamber music festival "Saint-Petersburg Palaces" takes place
in the city for the entire month of June.
The festival traditionally takes place in St. Petersburg during the White Nights.
The interiors of the city's famous palaces, masterpieces of world architecture,
provide a special ambience for the Festival. A lot of concerts are given in the
beautiful suburb residences of the Tsars! No doubt it is worth visiting!
From the end of May the world-famous international festival of classic arts
"The Stars of the White Nights", is staged.
This festival is organized by the Mariinsky Theater, and this is a wonderful opportunity
to hear the best world musicians that flock to St. Petersburg!
